About Velocity H2O Solutions:
Bottle Capping Equipment, 5 Gallon Bottling Line, Bulk Water Bottling Equipment, Bottling System Parts, and Bottle Cap Sorter Repair
Our History
In 1978, CapSnap™ Inc was formed in San Jose, CA.
The Company specialized in the sanitizing, filling, and capping of glass and plastic 5-gallon water cooler bottles. The Company produced a line of plastic closures for capping bottles as well as a line of equipment for sanitizing and filling the bottles. The equipment line evolved over the years to cover a range of production volumes from 150-3000 BPH, ancillary equipment including leak detectors, sanitization and filtration equipment, conveyors, and automation equipment such as robotic loaders/unloaders cappers/decappers and cap sorting equipment. CapSnap™ earned a reputation as the premier supplier of bulk water equipment in the industry due to the reliability and longevity of the systems.
In 1986, The CapSnap™ Co. was acquired by the Portola Company, later Portola Packaging.
Portola built an equipment fabrication facility in New Castle, PA that produced a wide variety of packaging-related machinery.
In 1998, Portola relocated the manufacture of the water equipment from San Jose to New Castle, PA.
In New Castle, PA, some of the largest bulk water plants ever built in the world were designed and built, and ultimately started up and serviced by technicians working out of New Castle, PA.
In 2010, the Director of the Portola’s Equipment business and one of the Sr. Design Engineers for CapSnap™ formed Velocity Equipment Solutions LLC and purchased the Equipment Business from Portola including the CapSnap™ line of machinery and products exclusive of the CapSnap™ closure. They remain the owners and operators of the business today. The CapSnap™ name was dropped as it was more associated with the CapSnap™ closure than the actual machinery.
In 2024, the water equipment was rebranded as Velocity H2O to reflect the focus on this important segment of Velocity’s business.
Velocity continues to support CapSnap™ clients around the world with service, upgrade packages, spare parts, and new machinery as well as the manufacture of its own branded machinery line. Velocity’s experience and expertise in the industry remain unrivaled.
